MacIntosh Brook Campground and Trail, Lone Shieling, three Cabot Trail properties, and nearby pull-offs are closed because coyotes have approached people aggressively.

• Entry and travel by any means are prohibited at 23681, 24141, and 24301 Cabot Trail, MacIntosh Brook Campground and Trail, Lone Shieling, and surrounding pull-offs until the closure is lifted; wildlife-monitoring patrols and others authorized by Parks Canada are excepted.
• Do not approach, entice, or feed wildlife; do not leave food or garbage unattended, and use proper receptacles. Watch for coyotes, hike in a group, supervise children closely, and keep pets leashed. If you encounter a coyote, do not run: make yourself appear large, make noise, and slowly back away.
• Report sightings to Parks Canada staff or 24-hour Emergency Dispatch at 1-877-852-3100. Violations may result in charges and fines of $237.50–$25,000.
