Scenic Drive Closed to Motor Vehicles for Reef Ride Bike Days

The Scenic Drive will be closed to motor vehicles from sunrise to 3 pm on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026 and Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026 for Reef Ride Bike Days. During those hours, the road is open to bicycles and pedestrians only. UT Highway 24 remains open, and access to Fruita, including the campground and Gifford House, is unaffected. Caution: Elevated E. coli Levels in Fremont River

Seasonal Canyoneering Closures Through Aug. 31

The park’s seasonal canyoneering closures are in effect through August 31, 2026. Closed areas include the heads of Fivemile Wash and Burro Wash, Shinob Canyon and routes descending into Shinob, and Arch Nemesis Canyon including the exit at Capitol Gorge and all direct tributaries.Official details
