Aire River East and Aire River West seasonal campground closures
Seasonal closures affect Aire River East Campground and Aire River West sites 17–40; do not enter or camp in the closed areas. - Aire River East: all sites are closed 29 May–30 October 2026; the campground and facilities are unavailable. The seasonal closure protects the campground and access tracks during wet weather, when vehicle use and camping activity can readily cause damage. - Aire River West: sites 17–23 are closed 29 May–29 September 2026 and sites 24–40 are closed 29 May–30 October 2026. Remaining sites may be accessible, subject to conditions. - The closures may be extended if conditions remain too wet to safely support camping and vehicle access. Follow on-site signage and avoid closed areas; entering or camping in closed areas is subject to National Park regulations. - The Great Ocean Walk hike-in campsite is not impacted. Visitors should plan ahead and consider alternative campgrounds.Official details
