It’s the more formal, attentive experience compared to its sibling next door, but busy nights can stretch the staff. Reviews trend positive, with callouts for short rib dishes, soups, and desserts; hiccups include occasional overcooked fish/steaks and slow service when tour groups hit. Vegetarian options exist but aren’t expansive.
Reservations, Seating, and the Lounge
Book ahead—this is often the only real dinner game in the park and tour buses stack up around the 6 pm window. Ask for a window table when you check in. If you want something more casual or can’t snag a reservation, the neighboring Far View Lounge usually serves a very similar menu, larger drinks, burgers, and outdoor seating; some diners have even requested a burger while seated in the restaurant when the lounge is open.
Practicalities
Dinner-only, typically 5:00–9:00 pm in the main season (roughly mid‑April to mid‑October). You’ll park at the Far View Lodge complex. Restrooms are in the lodge building. Wi‑Fi is available at the lodge, but cell service in this part of the park is often spotty. An EV charger is on site.
