Highway 16A Closure in Keystone
Highway 16A is closed at its intersection with South Dakota Highway 40 in Keystone; follow the detour.
- The closure is for replacement of a bridge that reached the end of its expected service life; the current project update says crews are building a retaining wall and removing the existing structure and surfacing.
- Temporary traffic signals control traffic, and 12-foot width and 50-foot length restrictions apply during the closure.
- The highway is scheduled to reopen by April 23, 2027.
