Caution

Hāna Highway lane restrictions Sept. 8–11

Expect scheduled shoulder and single-lane restrictions on Hāna Highway (Routes 36/360) Tuesday, Sept. 8, through Friday, Sept. 11; follow traffic controls and allow extra time. - Kahului to Hoʻokipa (Route 36, mile markers 0–8.3): Roving eastbound lane closure, 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Sept. 9–11, for storm-drain cleaning; traffic remains open in both directions with a lane shift. - Kuʻau to Maliko (Route 36, mile markers 8–10, near Mama’s Fish House and Maliko Bay): Single-lane closure in either direction, 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Sept. 8–11, for landscaping work in preparation for the Hāna Relay; traffic alternates in the open lane. - Haʻikū (Route 36, mile markers 13–14, near Valley Isle Memorial Park and Hohani Place): Roving eastbound single-lane closure, 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Sept. 9–11, for tree crown raising and removal; traffic alternates in the open lane. - Huelo (Route 360, mile markers 2.9–3.1, near Waipio Stream): Southbound single-lane closure, 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Sept. 8–11, for guardrail repair; traffic alternates in the open lane. - Huelo to Kailua (Route 360, mile markers 3–6): Roving shoulder closure in either direction, 12:30 a.m.–11 a.m., Sept. 8–11, for spot spraying for weed control. - Kailua (Route 360, mile markers 4.2–4.4): Northbound single-lane closure, 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Sept. 8–11, for guardrail repair; traffic alternates in the open lane. - Waikamoi (Route 360, mile markers 9.79–10, near Waikamoi Stream): Westbound single-lane closure, 7 a.m.–5 p.m., Sept. 8–11, for slope work and road restoration; traffic alternates in the open lane. - Kaumahina, Keʻanae, Wailua, and Nāhiku (Route 360, mile markers 10–13, 13.5–16, 18–20, and 26–30): Roving shoulder closures in either direction, 12:30 a.m.–11 a.m., Sept. 8–11, for spot spraying for weed control. - Nāhiku to Kaeleku (Route 360, mile markers 25–31): Roving single-lane closure in either direction, 6:30 a.m.–3 p.m., Sept. 8–11, for guardrail landscaping; traffic may alternate in the open lane.
