Temporary closures on public rights of way
Avoid the listed sections of public rights of way while their temporary closures or pedestrian prohibitions are in force.
- Public Bridleway No. 52 (05.2/52, part), Austwick: closed 8 June–8 December 2026.
- Public Footpaths 509009 and 509023, Casterton parish: pedestrians prohibited 19 March 2026–19 March 2027.
- Public Footpath No. 6 (20.80/6, part), Aysgarth: closed 19 May–11 November 2026.
- Public Footpath No. 6 (part), Appletreewick: the park lists an intention to make a temporary prohibition-of-pedestrians order; check site notices and maps for the status and route details before walking.
- Temporary closures may be needed to allow restoration works or for public safety. The closure periods and alternative routes currently in force are shown on site notices and maps.
