NPWS says several Blue Mountains routes remain closed or detoured due to subsidence, rockfalls, landslides, fallen trees and repair work. Current impacts include Honeymoon Bridge, National Pass, Wentworth Pass and Slack Stairs, Valley of the Waters below Silvia Falls, Lincolns Rock, and parts of Lindeman and Roberts Pass; Three Sisters Walk is detoured via Spooners Lookout.Official details

Remote walking track conditions in Kanangra Wilderness

NPWS reports heavy fire regrowth and flood damage on remote routes in the Kanangra Wilderness Area, including the Kanangra to Katoomba trail. In places, tracks may be hard to see or navigate, water sources can be limited to zero, and mobile reception is limited. Walkers should only attempt these routes with strong navigation skills, suitable experience and equipment, a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB), and backup communication options.
