The Barns of Bynack are dramatic granite tors perched near Bynack More, adding a burst of rugged character to an otherwise broad plateau. They’re a natural landmark that walkers often tag as an add‑on to a Bynack More ascent from the Glenmore/Ryvoan side. Expect wild, open country and a proper sense of space.

Conditions & Safety

This is high, open ground. Strong winds and whiteouts are real possibilities and have turned parties back. Navigation can be tricky in poor visibility, so bring proper hill tools and know how to use them. There are no shelters, toilets, or services anywhere near the tors.
