Expect significant portages on Cedar Creek between Bannister’s Bridge and South Cedar Creek because trees are down across the creek; the number of portages depends on water levels.

• Be prepared to carry over logs and other obstacles, and bring the necessary equipment, including the Ten Essentials.
• Downed trees may conceal poison ivy, spiders, wasps and other stinging insects, and snakes; use caution when navigating around or under them.

Use GPS on the Oakridge, Boggy Gut, and Kingsnake backcountry trails because they may be difficult to follow.

• Boggy Gut Trail is open, but numerous trees are down due to recent storms; it may be difficult to follow, so use caution.
• Oakridge and Kingsnake are also open and may be difficult to follow in some areas; use caution.
