Crater Road lane closures near Haleakalā National Park

Expect roving single-lane closures on Crater Road (Route 378) in both directions between mile markers 0 and 10, near the Haleakalā Visitor Center entrance, Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. - The closures are for striping; traffic will be alternated through the open lane. - There will be no lane closures on Monday, September 7, unless permitted. - Schedules may change without notice, and all projects are weather permitting. Swimming prohibited at ʻOheʻo Pools

Do not enter or swim in the Pools of ʻOheʻo in the Kīpahulu District. - The pools are not accessible because of multiple safety concerns; flash floods and sudden rock falls can occur at any time, and entry or wading in the streams is not recommended. - View the pools safely from the Kūloa Point Trail, obey posted signs, and heed all safety warnings.
