Swimming Prohibited at Pools of ʻOheʻo

Swimming is currently prohibited at the Pools of ʻOheʻo (Seven Sacred Pools) due to flash flooding and rockfall hazards. While the water is closed to entry, the Kūloa Point Trail remains open for viewing the pools. The Pīpīwai Trail to Waimoku Falls remains a recommended alternative for hikers in the Kīpahulu District.Official details

Sunrise Reservations Required

A reservation is mandatory for any vehicle entering the Summit District between 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. HST. Reservations can be made on Recreation.gov up to 60 days in advance, with a small number of last-minute tickets released 2 days prior. The reservation holder must be present with a photo ID matching the reservation name.Official details
