Westside Road rockfall hazard and access restriction
Westside Road is open but is an active geohazard zone with rockfall danger; vehicles must park south of the Dry Creek barricade. - Hikers and bicyclists may travel beyond the barricade, but should proceed with caution and avoid lingering in the hazard zone. Northern wildfire closures and Sunrise vehicle restriction
Wildfire closures remain in effect in Mount Rainier’s northern area because the Grand Park 2 Fire and Wonderland Complex Fires continue to burn there; Sunrise Road is closed to public vehicles. - Grand Park area and trails, including Huckleberry Creek Trail, are closed until further notice. - The Sunrise trails north of Sourdough Ridge, including Mount Fremont, are closed. - The Northern Loop Trail from Berkeley Park to the Wonderland Trail junction near Carbon River is closed, along with Yellowstone Cliffs, Lake James, Fire Creek, and Berkeley Park camps. - The Wonderland Trail from Carbon River Suspension Bridge to Frozen Lake near Sunrise is closed because of the Garda Falls Fire; Dick Creek, Mystic Lake, and Granite Creek camps are closed. Carbon River Camp, Ipsut Creek Camp, and the upper and lower Carbon River crossings remain open. - White River Road, White River Campground, and trails along White River Road are open. Sunrise Road is open to pedestrians and bicyclists only; bring water, food, and supplies and watch for administrative and fire-crew traffic. Tahoma Creek Trail closed for debris-flow hazards
Tahoma Creek Trail is closed and not recommended for hiking because debris flows and flooding have taken over the unmaintained trail corridor. - Only remnants of the trail remain, making navigation difficult and the route hazardous. - Flooding and debris-flow events have occurred frequently and are expected to occur again. Parkwide fire ban in effect
A parkwide fire ban prohibits all campfires and the ignition of wood, briquettes, or any fuel in fire pits, fire pans, and barbecue grills until further notice; the ban reduces the risk of human-caused wildland fire. - The ban applies to all developed campgrounds, including White River, Cougar Rock, and Ohanapecosh. - Campfires are never allowed in Mount Rainier’s wilderness areas. SR 165 Carbon River/Fairfax Bridge closed

Grove of the Patriarchs closed after flood damage
The Grove of the Patriarchs remains closed to all public entry because November 2021 flooding significantly damaged the suspension bridge that provides the only safe access. - The trail remains closed until the bridge is replaced; construction is scheduled to begin in 2028. - The Grove of the Patriarchs parking lot and restrooms, plus the Eastside and Silver Falls trails, remain accessible.
