Bridleway 25.122/110/1 at Hawnby is closed to pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders because the bridge is unsafe.

• The emergency closure runs through 5 October 2026 and is followed by a six-month closure until 14 March 2027.
• Do not use the closed bridleway; follow the notices and signs.

Part of Public Footpath 1 through Forge Valley, past Ayton Castle, is closed to pedestrians because the boardwalk is unsafe.

• The closure runs through 6 October 2026 between grid references SE 9860 8494 and SE 9839 8712, a distance of 2,540 metres.
• Use the signed alternative via the permissive footpath, Public Footpath 702 and the U551 Cockrah Road.

• The closure runs through 16 March 2027, or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier.

A 1-kilometre section of Public Footpath 98 at Tyreman’s Plantation in Great Fryup Dale is closed for tree-felling works.

• Use Public Bridleway 99 as the 1-kilometre alternative route to the junction with Footpath 98; follow notices and signs.
