Seasonal fire restrictions in effect
Seasonal fire restrictions are in effect at Valley of Fire and all Nevada State Parks to help prevent wildfires, protect lives and property, and preserve natural areas. - Do not ignite, build, maintain, attend, or use a wood, charcoal, or other-material fire, campfire, or stove fire outside developed campgrounds, picnic areas, or designated areas with accessible fire rings or approved fire enclosures. Portable gas, jellied-petroleum, and pressurized-liquid-fuel stoves are allowed. - Do not operate a motor vehicle or combustion-engine equipment without a spark arrestor anywhere other than on existing paved, gravel, or dirt roads. - In wildland areas, do not operate a vehicle or other motorized equipment without a fire extinguisher, shovel, and at least one gallon of water. Seasonal trail closures through September 30
The listed Valley of Fire trails are closed through September 30; do not use them. - Closed trails are White Domes Loop; Fire Wave/Seven Wonders Loop/Pastel Canyon/Pink Canyon; Pinnacles Loop; Prospect Trail; Arrowhead Trail; Natural Arch Trail (excluding Arch Rock); and Charlie’s Spring. - The closure addresses extreme heat and hazardous weather that have contributed to frequent medical calls, search-and-rescue missions, and fatalities; hiking in these conditions endangers visitors, park personnel, and emergency responders. - Park staff will strictly enforce the closures, and citations may be issued for violations. West Entrance closed Monday–Thursday
The West Entrance is closed Monday through Thursday beginning August 3, 2026; use the East Entrance on those days. - The closure is for construction of a new entrance lane and additional fee booth, intended to improve park access and reduce visitor wait times. - The East Entrance is accessible via State Route 169 or State Route 167.
