Seasonal fire restrictions in effect
Seasonal fire restrictions are in effect at Valley of Fire and all Nevada State Parks to help prevent wildfires, protect lives and property, and preserve natural areas. - Do not ignite, build, maintain, attend, or use a wood, charcoal, or other-material fire, campfire, or stove fire outside developed campgrounds, picnic areas, or designated areas with accessible fire rings or approved fire enclosures. Portable gas, jellied-petroleum, and pressurized-liquid-fuel stoves are allowed. - Do not operate a motor vehicle or combustion-engine equipment without a spark arrestor anywhere other than on existing paved, gravel, or dirt roads. - In wildland areas, do not operate a vehicle or other motorized equipment without a fire extinguisher, shovel, and at least one gallon of water. Check current fire-restriction status before visiting.
