Keep at least 25 yards (23 meters) from bull elk; they are fast and unpredictable this time of year and can seriously injure people. - If an elk charges, run. - Also stay at least 25 yards (23 meters) from bison and 100 yards (91 meters) from bears and wolves. Gardner River High Bridge traffic restriction

Expect a single lane of traffic and delays of up to 15 minutes at Gardner River High Bridge 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from April 1 through late October 2026. - Oversized or overweight vehicles cannot cross while this restriction is in place, including vehicles at least 8 feet 6 inches wide, 75 feet long, or 80,000 pounds gross vehicle weight. Closure

Biscuit Basin closed

Do not enter Biscuit Basin: its parking lot, boardwalk, and the Firehole River are closed to all travel until further notice. - The closure is due to the possibility of another hydrothermal event at the site of the July 23, 2024, hydrothermal explosion. - Biscuit Basin is north of Old Faithful.
