Start here to make your visit smoother. The Visitor Centre is the park’s information hub—staff can help you fine‑tune plans, sort your park pass, and point you to the right beaches, walks and day‑use areas.

• Park pass sales and general inquiries.
• Practical facilities: restrooms, onsite parking and a picnic area. Note: the official map does not show a drinking‑water tap at the centre; refill elsewhere in the park where taps are signed.

Culture and tours

Booderee is co‑managed with the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community. Throughout the year, Traditional Owners lead guided experiences—ask staff here about what’s on and how to join.

Closures and updates

Check the alerts board before you head deeper into the park. As of November 28, 2025, the Iluka Beach day‑use area and beach access staircase are closed for repairs; the end of Iluka Road is closed, and Iluka Beach is accessible via the middle access on Iluka Road.

Best time to visit

Open daily 9 am–4 pm. For a quick, calm stop, come on weekdays right after opening. Late mornings to early afternoons on Saturdays are the busiest. Most people spend about 10 minutes here—budget a bit more if you want detailed route advice.

Good to know

• A park pass is required to enter the park; you can purchase it online in advance or at the Visitor Centre (buying online speeds things up in peak periods).
• Beachside campgrounds are popular and book out quickly in peak seasons—reserve early if you’re camping.
• Bring water; plan refills at signed taps in Jervis Bay Village, the Botanic Gardens, or Green Patch.
