It’s the quintessential convenient stop: easy access, valley‑floor scenery, and a front‑row look at the Tetons right from the lawn or patio. If you’re basing near Moose or cruising in from Jackson, this is the handiest place to fuel up—your car and yourself.

What You'll Find

Expect multiple dining options (the well‑loved pizza spot, a seasonal chuckwagon, a saloon/bar), a grocery, an expansive wine and spirits shop, and on‑site gas. Lodging comes via the Spur Ranch Cabins, so you can sleep steps from sunrise views and coffee. It’s more a small village than a single venue, which is exactly why it’s packed in summer.

Dornan’s began as a 1922 homestead and has stayed in the same family for generations. That continuity shows in the rustic buildings and relaxed, lived‑in feel. The standout, though, is the setting: open lawns and decks with wide‑angle Teton views over the Snake River corridor—arguably the best restaurant‑patio backdrop anywhere near Moose.
