Sinclair Canyon pedestrian access closed
Pedestrian access from the Lower Juniper Trail Parking area to Sinclair Canyon is closed; do not use the affected route. - The connector trail from the Hot Springs Trail to Sinclair Canyon is also closed due to road construction. Water activities closed through March 31, 2027
All waterbodies in Kootenay National Park are closed to watercraft and angling until March 31, 2027; do not plan boating or fishing in the park. - The closure reduces the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS), including whirling disease.
