Prospect Mountain Overlook #1—often called The Narrows—is the first major scenic stop along the Prospect Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway. It’s a quick pull-in with parking and a big payoff: sweeping views of Lake George’s southern basin backed by the Adirondack foothills.

Logistics and Amenities

This is a designated parking pullout with a scenic viewpoint—no restrooms or picnic tables here. If you want to linger longer, continue up to the summit day-use area, which is set up for picnicking. Access to the highway requires a fee per vehicle.
