Floating Island Lake is a quick, scenic pullout on the Northern Range between Mammoth Hot Springs and Tower–Roosevelt. Think of it as a classic pause-the-car spot: a small lake ringed by meadows where the light can be beautiful and wildlife often steals the show.

Plan 10–30 minutes. There’s no established trail and no fishing is permitted. Use the roadside pullouts only and resist the urge to wander onto fragile wet meadows or along the soft shoreline.
