What You’ll See

From the tables and the covered pavilion you’ll catch west-facing views across the water (think warm afternoon light and potential sunset color). A wooden stairway links the picnic area to a rocky shoreline where you can poke around tidepools at low tide.

Facilities & Layout

You’ll find multiple picnic tables—including a covered pavilion that’s clutch during drizzle or midday sun—plus a restroom by the small parking area. There’s no food or water on site, so bring your own.

Compared to the park’s headline picnic spots, this one is about serenity: forest, sea, and just enough infrastructure to be comfortable. The dedicated stairway to the shore is a standout—easy access to classic Acadia granite and intertidal life without a full-blown hike.

Wildlife & Tidepools

Expect coastal birds and the usual forest critters up top; down on the rocks, look for snails and barnacles in the pools. Low tide is your best window for exploring.
