This is the on‑land heart of the park at Convoy Point—your best first stop to get oriented before heading onto the water. Inside, you’ll find engaging natural‑history exhibits, short films in a small theater, and a rotating art gallery inspired by Biscayne’s marine world. Outside, the center sits right on Biscayne Bay with breezy views and easy access to the short, flat Jetty Trail.
From the shoreline and jetty, keep an eye out for shorebirds and fish in the shallows. On calm days you might even spot a manatee or dolphin cruising the bay. For richer wildlife encounters—colorful reef fish, coral gardens, and the chance of sea turtles—book a snorkel or paddle tour that leaves from here.
The visitor center is typically open 9 am–5 pm daily. For elbow room and easy parking, aim for weekday mornings right at opening. Weekends, especially midday to mid‑afternoon, are the busiest. If you’re joining a boat or snorkel trip, morning departures beat the heat and winds.
