This entrance is a popular gateway for visitors coming from Twentynine Palms. On busy weekends and holidays—especially in the main season (roughly October through May)—the West Entrance often backs up; using the North Entrance is commonly a faster move, but the sign area itself can still bunch up with photo seekers.
