Burdulba Campground

Overview

Burdulba is a simple, park-managed bush campground tucked just off the Kakadu Highway. It’s tent‑only and intentionally low‑key—perfect if you want a quiet night in the bush rather than a busy caravan park. Expect natural surroundings, few neighbors, and the sounds of the Top End at dawn and dusk.

What to Expect

The campground sits in open woodland near wetlands and grasslands, so you’ll get bird chatter by day and a starry sky by night. It’s small and unassuming—more about solitude than services. One clear perk: there are pit toilets. Beyond that, plan for a very basic setup with no drinking water or on‑site supplies.

Wildlife & Safety

Birdlife is a highlight here, and you may spot lizards or wallabies around camp. As with anywhere in Kakadu, be crocwise around any water—don’t approach creeks or billabongs and obey all safety signs. Insects are part of the deal in this landscape; mosquitoes can be fierce, especially in wetter periods or around dusk.
