Wildlife

Early and late in the day are your best bets for spotting deer along the grounds, eagles and other waterfowl cruising the shoreline, and the occasional river otter working the shallows.

Seasonality

In summer, these cabins book up quickly—plan far ahead. In winter, they’re offered on weekends even when the main lodge is shuttered; you’ll pick up your key from a bulletin board and be largely self‑sufficient until checkout. Dining and other services can be limited or unavailable in the off‑season.
