Getting There

Park at small gravel/shoulder pull‑outs along TF‑24 by Mirador de La Tarta, then follow a clear dirt path about 0.8–1 km to the arch. Expect an easy, mostly flat walk on volcanic dirt and rock. There’s no signage—this is an informal spot—so keep your bearings on the well‑worn track and the road behind you.

What You’ll See

The arch is modest in size (too small to sit in), but it frames Teide beautifully when you step back and compose carefully. From this side of the park you’re often above the cloud deck, which adds drama as Teide rises over a sea of clouds.

Best Time to Visit

Sunrise and sunset are the sweet spots—soft light, long shadows, and usually clearer skies. Early or off‑peak hours also help with parking and solitude. Clear mornings often deliver the cleanest view of the volcano from TF‑24.

On‑Site Logistics

There are no services here: no toilets, water, bins, or official signs. Pack in/out everything and plan restroom and water stops at official viewpoints or visitor centers elsewhere in the park. Roadside space is limited; arrive early and park fully off the pavement.

TF‑24 is fast and winding—use hazard lights when pulling in or out and cross the road carefully. At altitude it’s dry, sunny, and windy; bring water, sun protection, and an extra layer. Stay on the established path and treat the arch gently—it's small and fragile.
