What You’ll See

Expect expansive mountain and valley views typical of the Rockies near the park’s east boundary. Forest and meadow edge the site, and on a clear day the backdrop is tailor‑made for a quick photo before you get back on the highway.

Facilities

It’s simple: picnic tables, an outhouse (vault toilet), garbage bins, and parking. There’s no potable water, no fire pits, and no food services. Bring everything you need and pack it out or use the bins responsibly.

Wildlife

Elk, deer, and various birds are possible sightings here, with the best chances at dawn or dusk. Bears and coyotes are less common but possible—keep a clean picnic, store food immediately, and give all wildlife space.

Getting There & Access

Valleyview is only reachable from the eastbound lanes of the Trans‑Canada Highway at the park’s far eastern edge. If you’re traveling westbound, you can’t directly access it—plan your stop ahead of time.
