Agua Canyon Overlook is a quick, high-reward stop on the Southern Scenic Drive. You pull in, walk just a few steps, and the landscape drops away into a maze of coral-pink hoodoos with far-reaching views. It’s one of those Bryce stops that delivers big scenery without any hiking.

Front and center are two standout hoodoos nicknamed The Hunter and The Rabbit, perched among intricate spires and cliffs. On clear days, you also get long-distance vistas toward the surrounding high country. Interpretive signs help you make sense of the geology and what you’re looking at.

This overlook shines in low-angle light. Hit it at dawn or late afternoon to bring out color and texture in the rock; midday tends to look flat and washed out. A moderate zoom helps isolate The Hunter and The Rabbit from the surrounding formations.

Expect the usual Bryce rim cast: ravens cruising the thermals, plus the chance to spot birds of prey, small mammals, or mule deer in the cooler hours. Early morning and late day are best for activity.
