Friendly Beaches“Friendly Beaches is ahead, a long stretch of pale sand broken by rocky outcrops and tide pools. I'd stop for a shoreline walk rather than a swim: this is exposed, unpatrolled coast, and the surf can be powerful.”

Camping is first come, first served, with a 14-night maximum and no advance booking. In busy summer periods, arrive early; campers regularly report finding the area full later in the day. There are pit toilets but no fresh water, so bring all the drinking water you need. Freycinet is fuel-stove-only, and a Tasmanian Parks Pass is required.
