Guide
Paddlewheel Café is a seasonal, open-air café and dockside bar on the riverboat dock beneath the Gateway Arch. The draw is simple: a casual meal outside with the Mississippi River and downtown St. Louis in view. You can eat at the dock tables without taking a cruise, or bring your food aboard if you’re boarding a riverboat.
The café serves made-to-order burgers, sandwiches and snacks. Its menu also lists wraps, salads, sweets and drinks, so there’s more than a quick bag of chips if you want lunch by the water. The dockside bar adds cocktails and draft beer.
The dock is at 50 S. Leonor K. Sullivan Boulevard, where the operator lists parking along the historic cobblestone levee. Seating is outdoors and the café is seasonal; weather affects service, so check current availability before planning a meal around it. This is an easy add-on to the riverfront, especially if you want food with your Arch view.
