Guide
Dandos is a spacious, unpowered campground of about 20 sites on a bend of the Gellibrand River in Otway Forest Park, near Gellibrand and outside the Great Otway National Park proper. Keep it in mind for a shady bush base or a river picnic; this is a basic forest camp, not a serviced holiday park. The day-use and camping areas are separate.
The grassy camping area sits among tall eucalyptus trees, with picnic tables, toilets and fire pits fitted with barbecue plates. Small caravans are suitable, access is listed as 2WD-friendly, and dogs are allowed. There is no power. A food outlet or potable water supply is not confirmed, so bring meals and drinking water.
