This is the little lifeline in the middle of Piñon Flats—perfect for grabbing last‑minute basics without leaving camp. It sits between Loops 1 and 2, so most sites can stroll over for a cold drink, packaged ice cream, or that bundle of firewood you forgot.
Expect a tight but useful selection: drinks, snacks, limited camping foods, ice, and firewood. Stock is best in the warmer, busier months. Don’t count on a full grocery run here—think convenience, not supermarket.
The store operates seasonally and hours can vary. In busy season, it often keeps split hours (morning and late afternoon/evening) with a midday closure. If you need a backup, the Oasis Store just outside the park entrance usually carries similar basics, including firewood and ice.
Buy wood locally and don’t bring firewood from outside the San Luis Valley. Gathering wood in the campground is prohibited. The store typically sells bundles when demand is highest.
