At 2,694 m (8,839 ft), Mount Tekarra caps the northwest end of the Maligne Range and steals the skyline above town. It’s the photogenic, shark-fin peak you keep seeing from Jasper and along the Icefields Parkway—and an enticing side summit for Skyline Trail backpackers.

Route Character
This isn’t a simple walk-up. Tekarra is best tackled as a scramble from the Skyline corridor, with a popular ridgeline link via Amber Mountain.
