Kalamina Gorge Waterfall is a small cascade spilling into a permanent pool at the foot of one of Karijini's smaller, picturesque gorges. A steep track drops from the upper visitor area to the water in about five minutes. It is a quick stop, but take care on the descent and climb back out.
A short stop or a longer walkA toilet and picnic area serve the gorge.
A toilet and picnic area serve the gorge. The approach is along gravel Kalamina Road; accounts differ on how comfortably a standard car manages it, so check current road conditions before setting out.
If you want to keep walking, a tougher route follows rock pools and walls downstream to Rock Arch Pool. It is listed at 3 km and about three hours return. Look for fish in the pools and the lemon-scented grass along the gorge.

A swim is possible when water levels allow, but the water can be extremely cold, especially from April to September. Do not dive or jump. Flash floods can occur: stay out of gorges when rain is in the area and leave immediately if it starts.

From beside the water, include the small waterfall, pool and layered red walls in one shot. The draping ferns give the cascade a natural frame; a tight crop of the water loses the gorge setting.
