By The Way is a hostel and campsite beside the West Highland Way in Tyndrum, with tent pitches, pods, huts, cabins and chalets as well as hostel rooms. It's a useful overnight stop for walkers who want to wash, cook and dry their gear before another day outside. Tyndrum Lower railway station is immediately beside the site, and the village's shops, cafés and pub are nearby.

Choose the right accommodationTent camping is for one- and two-person tents only.

Tent camping is for one- and two-person tents only. Campers have hot showers, toilets, laundry facilities and a drying room for clothing and boots, plus a microwave, kettle and two-ring hot plate. The hostel has a separate, fully equipped self-catering kitchen. These are guest facilities, so plan on staying here rather than treating it as a public shower or picnic stop.

The drying room is a particularly useful reason to choose this stop on a walking trip. If you want a roof without a hostel room, compare the huts, pods and cabins before booking; they're different accommodation options rather than interchangeable names.

Before you arriveAccess is from Lower Station Road, just off the A82.

Access is from Lower Station Road, just off the A82. Book ahead for a summer stay and check the operating season for your chosen accommodation. Confirm pet rules for the exact pitch or unit before bringing a dog, as policies differ across the accommodation information. The campsite is intended for quiet evenings, and barbecues and fires aren't permitted.
