Transport
Buses from Puerto Natales stop here and connect onward to other park hubs. From this gate, a park shuttle runs to the Central Area; bring Chilean pesos—cash is required for that shuttle.
Getting Here
From Puerto Natales, follow Ruta 9 toward Cerro Castillo, then Y‑150 and signs for Laguna Amarga (Y‑156). This is the usual entry for those heading to the Base Torres sector or starting longer circuits.
Wildlife Note
The surrounding Laguna Amarga steppe is renowned for puma sightings, with guanacos and condors commonly seen. Your best odds are at first light or late afternoon—always keep respectful distance and follow guide instructions if you’re on a tracking excursion.
