Kiosk Campground

Kiosk Campground is a small, seasonal drive-in campground on the north shore of Kioshkokwi Lake, in Algonquin's northwest corner. It works best as a quiet lakeside base or a starting point for canoe and portage trips into the park's interior. This is a long side trip from Highway 60; come here for the lake and the remote setting, not as a quick roadside stop.

From Highway 17, 17.6 km west of Mattawa, paved Highway 630 runs south for 30.4 km to camp. The usual campground season is late April through late October. Cell coverage is unreliable around the campground and on the approach, so download your route and park information before turning onto Highway 630.

The campground office also serves Kioshkokwi Lake's access point. The beach and boat launch make it a practical base for canoeing and portaging farther into Algonquin. That access brings traffic through the area: camps near the launch can see paddlers and vehicles arriving or moving through, while site privacy varies. For more separation, aim for a site away from the launch.

Expect flush toilets, but no showers, laundry or electrical service. RVs are accommodated, though there are no electrical hookups. Most sites are screened from neighbours, but open lakeside and access-point spots can feel less secluded.
