Kiosk Ranger Cabin is a two-bedroom log rental, about 34 by 21 feet, on Kioshkokwi Lake at the Kiosk Access Point. Its draw is a waterfront stay beneath mature white pines; you can drive to the cabin, but it is accommodation for booked guests, not a walk-in place to tour. The kitchen and living area share an open plan.

The cabin has electric heat, a stove and refrigerator, a coffee maker, kettle and toaster, and potable hot and cold running water. Outside, there is a fire pit and a propane barbecue with propane supplied. Two flush toilets are a reasonable walk away, and the site has a beach and boat launch. Bring food, dishes, pots and pans; the cabin does not supply cookware or tableware. Pets are prohibited, as is smoking in ranger cabins.

Algonquin set aside $90 for the original Kiosk patrol cabin in 1927; the finished 16-by-20-foot building cost $84.76. It stood north of the railway tracks before being sold to a Canadian National Railway employee in 1933 on the condition that it be moved. The present cabin was built on Kioshkokwi Lake in 1936. A kitchen followed in 1940, and electricity arrived in 1956.

The cabin sits on a large lake, with a southwest-facing waterfront under mature white pines. A beach and boat launch make the shoreline part of the stay; if you bring a motorboat, outboards are limited to 20 horsepower. Use the park's canoe-routes map for detailed directions to this drive-to cabin.
