Lake Louise Visitor Centre

Parking for vehicles and RVs is available at Samson Mall. The mall also has a small grocery store, outdoor store, cafés, bookshop, post office and ATM. Public washrooms serve the Lake Louise community, making this a convenient place to pause or pick up supplies before heading elsewhere.

Lake Louise was founded in 1890 as Laggan Station, a remote outpost at the end of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The visitor centre now helps people plan trips around Lake Louise and the mountain parks, so it works best as a practical starting point for the area rather than part of the lakeshore visit.
