Surprise Corner doubles as access to the scenic Surprise Corner–Hoodoos route (about 9.6 km round trip) tracing the Bow River beneath Tunnel Mountain to the hoodoos. If you’re only here for the view, plan 10–20 minutes; if you’re hiking, bring proper footwear and layers.
Wildlife
This spot isn’t known for wildlife, but along the connecting riverside trails you might encounter elk, deer, or birds. Give any wildlife lots of space and keep the focus on the scenery.
