Getting There

Follow the Round Walking Track from Scenic World. After passing Vaniman’s Lookout, watch for a short flight of log‑and‑dirt steps tucked beside a mossy rock face — there’s no sign, so keep your eyes peeled. The detour is brief, making this an easy add‑on to a Katoomba Falls circuit.

Wildlife

This stretch of track is good for birdwatching — keep an ear out for the chatter of rosellas and lorikeets moving through the canopy. Bring binoculars if you like to linger; the balcony itself is a nice, sheltered spot to scan the valley.

Best Time to Visit

Aim for early morning or late afternoon to sidestep peak Scenic World foot traffic and enjoy a quieter balcony. Clear days deliver long‑range views to the Three Sisters; cloud and mist can be moody but may obscure the falls.
