Parking and facilities

There are 19 regular spaces and no oversized spaces. The vehicle limit is 24 feet; trailers, camping, and overnight parking aren’t allowed. The lot can fill during February through April and on holiday weekends. If you’re hiking and it’s full, Massai Point or Sugarloaf are alternate trail starts.

Pit toilets are here, but there’s no water at the lot. Willcox and Sunizona are the last towns with gas and basic supplies before the park.

Echo Canyon Parking Area is a small paved lot on Bonita Canyon Drive in the park’s upper rock country. It’s one of the park’s recommended places for a wide, unobstructed night sky. For a short stargazing stop after the scenic drive, this is a good fit: night viewing is possible in every season, and no reservation is needed.
