Callville Bay Boat Ramp is the launch of choice on the quieter side of the lake, about 45–60 minutes from Las Vegas. It’s a practical setup: a big concrete ramp, large trailer‑friendly parking lots, and immediate access to the marina for rentals, fuel, and supplies.

What You’ll Find

Large ramp area with room for several rigs at once and easy approaches.
Restrooms up the hill in the day‑use/parking area, plus additional flush restrooms in the adjacent NPS campground.

Launch Conditions & Lake Levels

Lake Mead’s levels rise and fall, which can shift ramp operations week to week. Staff can brief you on current launch procedures. At low water, a pipe‑mat extension has been used to reach the lake. Expect a bit of a trek between parking and the dock; golf‑cart shuttles and push carts are often in circulation.

Fishing Snapshot

Target species: striped bass, largemouth and smallmouth bass, catfish, crappie, and sunfish; rainbow trout are stocked elsewhere in the system.
Basics: carry a valid Nevada or Arizona license (the reservoir spans both). Fishing is allowed 24/7 from boats and designated areas. Immediately release any razorback sucker or bonytail chub if caught by accident and report it.
