Cottonwood Cove is a developed destination on Lake Mohave’s Nevada shore, roughly an hour south of Las Vegas. The marina, launch ramp, sandy beach, picnic area and overnight facilities gather along one shoreline. Choose it for a boat launch or a lakeside day with services close by; it is a busy recreation base rather than an undeveloped cove.

Launch your own boat or rent one here, from smaller watercraft to houseboats. From the cove, boaters can follow narrower stretches of the Colorado River or head onto Lake Mohave’s broad open water. The marina also has fuel, slips and dry storage.

From the parking area, it is a short walk to Cottonwood Cove Beach. Follow the sand north toward Box Cove or south toward Ski Cove; other sandy coves are easiest to reach by boat. For a photo, frame the marina’s docks and houseboats with open water and the desert ridges beyond.

An on-site café overlooks the marina, and the store sells snacks, drinks, charcoal, bait and tackle. Café availability can be limited, so plan another meal option if timing matters. Upkeep is uneven across the overnight RV and motel areas; choose them for the location and check current details before booking if comfort is a priority.
