Temple Bar Marina is a boat-launch and visitor-services hub on the eastern Arizona shore of Lake Mead, reached from U.S. 93 by Temple Bar Road. Plan on time for boating, fishing, or using the services clustered along the water. The drive out is remote, so pick up essentials before turning off the highway.
The basin has about 20 miles of open water known for water skiing. Boat rentals, slips, dry storage, and fuel support a full day afloat. Lake levels reshape the shoreline and can affect launch access, so check current ramp conditions before towing a boat. The developed Temple Bar area has parking for cars and boat trailers, drinking water, a bottle-filling station, and flush and vault or composting toilets.
The convenience store carries last-minute basics, snacks, ice, and bait and tackle; the concession area also has lodging and an RV park. The restaurant and lounge serves meals including pizza, burgers, fish tacos, and breakfast favorites. Its operation is seasonal and hours can change, so confirm before you count on dinner this far from other services.
Temple Bar takes its name from a massive rock formation above the bay. Nearby Temple View Trail crosses desert to a view of Lake Mead and the natural “temple,” whose colors change through the day. It’s a good way to see the feature beyond the marina.
