Practicalities

• The weir and other low crossings can go underwater after heavy rain; if water covers the deck, don’t attempt to cross—closures are common and well signposted.
• Triangle carpark and nearby bays serve the precinct, but weekends and holidays fill fast. Mobile coverage can be patchy. Strong currents can occur in the Hacking River—keep a close eye on kids.

Getting There

From Princes Highway, turn onto Farnell Avenue and descend to the river; the weir marks the crossing into Audley. Triangle carpark sits just off the road near the weir and the main lawns.

Weekdays are mellow. On weekends and public holidays, arrive early for parking and quieter river views. The precinct hums during fine‑weather days, especially in summer and autumn.
