Ironbark Flat Picnic Area

Ironbark Flat is a grassy picnic area on the Hacking River beside Audley Weir. It works best as an easy meal break in the shade: bring lunch, use the free gas or electric barbecues, then linger by the water. It’s also a low-key place to watch ducks and look for birds.

Weir Cafe is along the path if you’d rather buy food; it’s a separate stop from the picnic lawn. Wood fires and campfires aren’t allowed in the park, so use the site’s gas or electric barbecues. The river can have strong currents, so keep children under close supervision by the water. Pets aren’t allowed in the park except certified assistance animals.
