A small, designated dog‑friendly shoreline tucked below the Booth’s Rock Trail parking area. Expect clean, clear water and an open, east‑facing view that catches the early light. It’s a simple spot: come for a quick dog swim, keep it leashed, and enjoy the quiet when you can snag it.

Getting There

Turn off Highway 60 at the Rock Lake turn (around km 40) and drive roughly 8 km south to the campground. From the campground office, continue to the Booth’s Rock Trail access/parking; a short, steep path drops to the water from that lot. Cell service is spotty, so sort directions before you go.

What To Expect

• Size and setting: a small, narrow ribbon of shoreline—cozy, not sprawling.
• Water: clear and inviting for a dunk; nice sightlines across Rock Lake.
• Not an off‑leash area: this is a designated pet beach with standard leash rules.
• Occasional boat wake: outboards are allowed on Rock Lake (limited to 20 hp), so you may see light chop near open shoreline.

Facilities and Rules

There are no facilities right at the dog beach. Use the campground’s comfort station (flush toilets, showers, laundry) near the office, or the smaller washroom buildings and vault toilets in the loops. Dogs must remain on a leash no longer than 2 m (6 ft); stoop‑and‑scoop is required, and pet waste belongs in garbage bins (or privies in backcountry).

Nearby and Best Pairings

The Booth’s Rock Trail (5.1 km loop) starts from the same parking area and delivers big views over Rock and Whitefish Lakes—perfect to pair with a dog dip before or after. The campground’s main beach and other amenities are up by the office (dogs aren’t allowed on regular swimming beaches).

Best Time to Visit

Early morning for sunrise light and easier parking before trail crowds roll in; weekdays beat weekends in peak season. Late spring can bring heavy bug activity—pack repellent for you and have vet‑approved protection for your pup.
